MailcrateDocs

Getting Started

Go from a new account to your first sent campaign, one short step at a time.

Mailcrate is an email platform for marketing campaigns, automated journeys and transactional email. This section takes you from signing up to sending your first campaign. Each page covers one step and takes a few minutes; DNS verification is the only part that can make you wait.

01

Create your account

Sign up and confirm your email address.

02

Set up a workspace

Name it and run the setup wizard.

03

Verify your domain

Publish DNS records and add a sender.

04

Send a campaign

Pick an audience and an email, then send.

Before you start

You need:

  • An email address you can receive mail at, for the account confirmation.
  • Access to the DNS settings of the domain you want to send from (your registrar or DNS host, such as Cloudflare, Route 53 or GoDaddy). If someone else manages DNS for your company, ask them now, because verification needs a few records published there.
  • Optionally, a CSV of contacts who have agreed to receive your email.

The steps

Integrating from code?

If you are a developer who mainly wants to send email from your application, you still need a verified domain and an API key from this section. After that, continue with API & SDKs.
